Fees are Members $2.50    Non-Members $5.00

The name zumba comes from a Colombian expression that means to move fast and have fun.  Zumba's combination of Latin and international music and dance thems create a dynamic workout.  Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize calorie burning, fat burning and total-body toning.  It targets areas such as glutes, legs, arms, abdominals and the most important muscle in the body, the heart.  In an hour's time one burns 300-400 calories.
The gymnasium will be full of energy, fun and laughter as teens and adults move to the Latin beats of the music.   Zumba is an aerobics class that is designed to Latin music for an overall toning and aerobic workout.  The class is set to a mixutre of Latin, Hip-Hop and Teggae music for a high energy and fun workout. 
 A 45-munute Zumba class only feels like 15 minutes because the time goes by so quickly when you are moving and having fun.  Zumba is great for everyone who is looking for a different type of workout, something with more excitement and energy. 
Sports shoes and track pants are comfortable options to do Zumba.  A precautionary note - people suffering from severe knee and back problems should not opt for this form of exercise.
Participants do not need to worry about their level of aerobics or dance experience.  Everyone can enjoy a Zumba class as it is designed so that anyone can catch on quickly to the steps and the music.  Bring a friend and plan on coming to get a wonderful workout and have a great time.
